Dr. Amy's Biz Bits

Make it a point to get involved in your community. Every city has a community and niche that you fit into—you just have to find it, mold it and make it yours without being afraid to take risks. Some of your actions will be highly rewarded, while others may have little recognition but nonetheless be just as rewarding for you.

Charitable work is one valuable way to get involved. Donate your services to local events and constantly look for opportunities that drive your purpose. Find where your energies and talents can best be served in a meaningful manner in the public eye of your community.

As you get involved, you will be amazed at the many sources of business opportunities and avenues to donate your services. Most of your success will be realized through the relationships you develop with the local businesses and events and, most importantly, with your clients. Your clients may be a great resource to help you get connected to events and experiences that they are associated with, so let them know you are excited about volunteering your time and talents.

It is through your giving that you will get great exposure and your business will naturally grow. Others will realize the benefits of your services and become clients. By getting involved in your community you will create a wealth of mutually beneficial referrals. Success comes in many shapes and sizes, and through volunteering you will enjoy a meaningful experience in sharing your purpose and passion.

On October 6-8, 2026, the market behind those numbers opens its doors as Beautyworld Dubai marks its 30th edition at the Dubai World Trade Centre, bringing together distributors, brands, stylists and salon owners from all over the world.
