Oded Gabay opened his Lovella West NYC Salon on Manhattan's Upper West Side more than two years ago, but has learned that his new "Facial Bar" is one of the reasons his sales has jumped 20 percent since it was installed last year.
"I am very interested in skin care," says Gabay, "and have learned that these services, when placed in the open, make it more inviting for everyone." The two chair Facial Bar is just off the reception area. Lovella West NYC is on the ground floor of West 72nd Street so the facial bar is visible to those in the salon, as well as to those passing by outside. "This has positive side effects," says Gabay. "This has generated more interest from the community. We've had people walk in and either make an appointment, request services or buy products."
