Sexy Hair recently held a celebratory party for company founder Michael O'Rourke to recognize the 10th anniversary of the hair care line launched in 1999 with its first product, Big Sexy Hair Root Pump. More than 300 guests, including Sexy Hair staffers, distributor partners, the beauty press and some former employees gathered at one of Hollywood's hottest spots, Level 3 nightclub for the "MOR Rocks" bash. O'Rourke was presented with a Steuben glass bowl, signed by all employees, and a trip to the Canyon Ranch Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona. The band Close to Home, which has represented the Short Sexy Hair line, entertained at the event which was part of a two and a half day sales and educational meeting for the entire international Sexy Hair team of executives, educators, distributors and sales representatives. Sexy Hair has grown into an 11-brand collection of professional beauty products. Veteran salon industry executives Jim Morrison and Karl-Heinz Pitsch joined the company in 2006 as chief executive officer and in 2008 as chief operating officer, respectively. American Idol's Katharine McPhee became the company's first celebrity spokesperson followed by the Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious, current celebrity representatives who are appearing in Sexy Hair advertising and promotional campaigns and at selected company-sponsored events.
