Best known on social media for: The Curl Doctor

Who I'm following on social: Anyone that inspires me to do what I love

How it felt to be recognized in public for the first time: Pretty weird but exciting because I've become known as the "guy that makes hair healthy"

How has social media fame changed your life: People always approach me for advise on the streets. It's great because I can reach out to people all over the world and it gives them insight to my world. It allowed me to meet curly girls from all over the world.

Best way to build a clientele from social media: Share your craft with your followers. Be yourself and don't try to copy someone else's style. Share images of the work you want to do. Clients see what I do and request looks that I enjoy doing. It's all about giving them a glimpse into your life. They like to see what we're all about besides our craft. I have 74,000 followers waiting to see what I say or do next. I try to inspire them and teach them how to get the same results at home.

Favorite Instagram filter: I don't ever use filters

Favorite app for pics/editing/collage: Diptic, framestatic, squaready, snapseed

The professional beauty product I can't live without: DevaCurl

Shout out to someone who helped you along the way: Lorraine Massey

I would love to makeover: Michelle Obama. She needs to go natural and help inspire all her fans that natural beauty is the best beauty.
