Get ready for an all-new reality competition series focused on stylists, Cedric’s Barber Battle on the CW.

The show, which premieres April 17 at 8/7c, will be hosted by Cedric the Entertainer and takes a closer look at barbering culture and communities across the country while blending craft with comedy.

Cedric will visit Los Angeles, Queens, Harlem, Austin and more to have barbers face off in a humorous, no-holds-barred arena to create hair sculptures with elaborate designs with no more than clippers and a few coloring tools. Episodes will contain two challenges: a buzz-cut competition set in an iconic barbershop and a cut-down challenge located at a regional landmark in each city.

The judges, called The Cutting Board, are Curtis Smith, Rich the Barber, Bashan “B.G. Cutta” Gibbs and Lena Piccininni.
