Kao Corporation announced that Trevor Attenborough, President & General Manager of Kao USA, Salon Division has accepted the role of General Manager, Kao Salon Division North America. In his new role, Attenborough will assume leadership responsibility for the Kao Salon Canadian business in addition to his US responsibilities.

Mike Parsons will continue to serve as the General Manager, Kao Canada, Salon Division and will lead Sales, Marketing and Education for Canada. He will report directly to Trevor.

“This move will help us build upon the synergies between the Kao US and Canadian salon divisions,” said Cory Couts, President, Kao Global Salon Division.

“I am excited about the new role and look forward to working more closely with my colleagues at Kao Canada as well as our key Canadian accounts,” said Attenborough. “This new organization structure will open opportunities to share best practices and leverage efficiencies that will benefit the total Kao Salon North American business.”

“The decision to expand Trevor’s role is a testament to the leadership and strategic vision he has demonstrated in growing our US business,” continued Couts. “I feel confident that under Trevor’s direction, the Kao Salon North American business will be more nimble and efficient in terms of decision making, brand management, resource allocation and external partner relationships, which will result in growth for both the US and Canada.”
