Patrick McIvor, Matrix Artistic Director and owner of Patrick McIvor Color Studio in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is the king of Social Media. He has used all forms of Facebook, Four Square and Twitter and more to increase his visibility and increase business.

"The best form of advertising in the salon industry is our own work," he told me. "Isn't it a great compliment when someone on the street or in a store asks YOUR client 'who does your hair?'"  That can now be answered easily by using all the social media opportunities out there. It is easier than ever to get your work more visible."

I met with Patrick at a Matrix photo session as he mentored members of the Matrix SPREAD THE LOVE program where he shared his knowledge of both haircolor and media exposure.
