Luxury Korean haircare brand British M  (@britishm_usa) released its trans-seasonal styling statement: GLASS. The styling in this collection emphasizes a fresh, flawlessly Korean take on individuality, movement, and smartly layered freedom.

The translucent looks were created by editorial and runway stylist Peter Gray for British M.

Highlighting mixed fluid layers with movement, these long styles can be translated into playful choppy long and short bobs, neo-mullets, whispy bangs, textured effects, or even structured balletcore buns. The hair is as essentially as beautiful and transparent as glass.

“They’re trans-seasonal. They reflect the reflective light, smoothness, and nuanced textural clarity of each look. Shaggy, boho-sleek, even beachwaved or curly, now it’s all about the flawless glass condition of hair itself and a healthy scalp. Blondes, reds, or brunettes look more freshly rich and luminous, naturally shiny. Condition of each strand is smooth and as natural as glass. The days of dictating a specific style have evolved. It’s now styling ease, product performance, and flexibility. We see runway looks that are diverse and creative, the newest salon looks are as well. Everything has shifted globally. It’s glass hair that gives this newness.”

“We’re all obsessed with advanced Korean ingredients, formulas and their results," continued Gray. "I used my favorite British M products, so popular in the advanced salons there, to create all the looks.

Get the Look (by Peter Gray)

  • “To start, I used British M Kombucha Shampoo which leaves hair hydrated and moveable without weight, and to support the scalp.
  • This was followed by nourishing Kombucha Mask.
  • Next, I smooth-brushed the hair for styling using the amazing British M Gentle Flex Brush to untangle hair and massage the scalp.
  • For light, moveable layers and fresh, ‘alive’ volume, I used British M Hydrate Hair Butter with Shea Butter and plant oils then British M Sea Salt Spray using the Ceramic Heat Brush and styled a rich, nourished and kinetic look.
  • Once finished, I sprayed on the water-based 10-botanical Hard Tailor Spray for flexible, touchable hold and then finished with the Iconic British M Annatto Hair Oil to add the very natural-looking, quickly absorbed translucent glass finish.”
