Awards shows are one of the best ways to gauge trends. Chances are that you'll have a couple clients coming in with something they saw on the red carpet at the 2014 American Music Awards, so make sure you beat them to the punch and stay on top of what's current.

This year saw a lot of glam looks (is it just us, or do all the award shows seem to be getting more formal and "done up" every year?), but we had our eyes on shorter cuts (lobs live on!), awesome texture, and the yin and yang of lip colors: attendees seemed largely polarized between Bordeaux lips and nude lips.
