As MODERN editors, we can’t get enough of Nicole O’Hare’s stunning color work. From blended blondes to rich brunettes, O’Hare has mastered it all. The bronding queen (yes, of course she’s also a pro at this trendy look) is as beautiful inside as she is outside. Her bright, encouraging personality makes her a pleasure to work with, and we’re so happy she’s part of our family.

Top-performing post: My most engaged post was a last-minute ponytail I gave a client after a color service. I added a heart accessory I found at Joann Fabrics. I doubted it was a good picture, but I shared it anyway. The next day it was shared by all the major hair pages. I definitely let out some happy tears.
Favorite apps: Snapseed to brighten and clean up my backgrounds without disturbing the hair. InShot to edit videos.

Hidden talent: I tear foils into perfect piles. I hate to see foils that are ripped crooked and in messy piles. So I tear all my foils as perfect as I can.

Fun fact: I can relate any situation to a quote or scene in a TV show or movie.
My audience follows me because: I share a lot of my personality. I’m not building a brand to gain followers or notoriety. I’m a person just like everyone else, and if they like my work, that’s the icing on the cake for me.
How social media changed my life: It’s connected me to people in so many ways. Even if it’s a few messages exchanged with a person I don’t know, I feel connected to that person. I will always approach and say hello or hug someone I follow on social media if I see them in person. I’ve been known to yell people’s names across parking lots or in Targets to meet people in person.
My first @modernsalon feature: I believe the first time was the ponytail photo with the heart accessory. I was so unsure about that photo, but my gut said to share it. I was home, looking like a bum with my kids running around when I saw MODERN SALON shared my photo. I wanted to jump up and down. It really was a major sign to me that my gut will never steer me in the wrong direction. Also, that stylists in small towns with small followings can be seen as much as those who are top dogs in our industry.
