HIGH CONTRAST

Josie’s model was a natural level 5 with pre-lightened ends.

Lightener and Base
Josie pre-lightened the blonde panels with Schwarzkopf Professional® BLONDME® BOND ENFORCING Premium Lightener 9+ + BLONDME® Premium Developer 2% (7 Vol.) on the lengths and IGORA VIBRANCE 4% (13 Vol.) Activator Lotion on the regrowth (1:2). She then mixed 1 part Schwarzkopf Professional® IGORA VIBRANCE® 3-0 + 1 part 4-0 + IGORA VIBRANCE® 1.9% (6 Vol.) Activator Lotion and applied it to the remaining hair.

Toner
An all over toner with new IGORA VIBRANCE® 10-5 Gold strikes the right balance of neutral warmth and prevents the contrasting sections from appearing too extreme.

MODERN MULLET

Mullets and shags are resurfacing this season, showing up in all shapes and lengths. Here, Jack Martin, @jackmartincolorist, reimagines this rocked out shape in a cool, rose-kissed silver hue.

Lighter
All strands were pre-lightened to level 10 with Schwarzkopf Professional® BLONDME® BOND ENFORCING Premium Lightener 9+ + BLONDME® Premium Developer 6% (20 Vol.).

Toner
To achieve a cool rose tone, Jack applied Schwarzkopf Professional® IGORA VIBRANCE® 10-1 Cendré with a capful of 0-11 Violet Booster + IGORA VIBRANCE® 1.9% (6 Vol.) Activator to all of the pre-lightened hair. “These new Level 10 toners are alcohol free and contain Schwarzkopf’s Fibre Bond technology,” he says, “so they leave the hair incredibly shiny and soft. And working with these true level toners is so easy because there’s no need for diluting.”

STATEMENT CROP

Creative color elevates any short haircut. Here, Maggie, @maggiemh, cleverly melts platinum tipped lengths into a darker root shadow, nape and sides.

Pre-Lighten
Lifting dark hair evenly and cleanly requires time and patience. Maggie started by applying Schwarzkopf Professional® BLONDME® BOND ENFORCING Lightener 9+ + BLONDME® Premium Developer 6% (20 Vol.) (1:1.25) to mids and ends and Schwarzkopf Professional® BLONDME® BOND ENFORCING Lightener 9+ + BLONDME® Premium Developer 2% (7 Vol.) (1:1.15) to the root area. A second application of Schwarzkopf Professional® BLONDME® BOND ENFORCING Lightener 9+ + BLONDME® Premium Developer 2% (7 Vol.) was applied to mids and ends and a final bleach wash of Schwarzkopf Professional® BLONDME® BOND ENFORCING Lightener 9+ + IGORA VIBRANCE 4% (13 Vol.) Activator Lotion (1:1) mixed with shampoo was performed at the shampoo bowl.

Tone
To complete the two-toned look, Maggie applied IGORA VIBRANCE® 10-5 Gold Soft Toner + IGORA VIBRANCE 1.9% (6 Vol.) Activator Lotion (1:1) to the top section. “I’m obsessed with the subtle gold tone of the 10-5,” says Maggie.
