When picturing an Ulta Beauty store and salon, visions of brightly colored boxes of makeup, fragrance, hair care and tools may come to mind, but for the brand’s Pro Team members it’s important to emphasize that beauty doesn’t come in a box.
“This collection is about embracing diversity and widening our concept of beauty to include people who might not fit the traditional mold,” says Nick Stenson, vice president, salon services and trend at Ulta Beauty. “As beauty professionals, we feel a responsibility to celebrate the differences of the beauty we see around us.”
In their latest Inclusivity collection, playing with color, cut, texture and style, the Pro Team pushes the boundaries of body type, skin hues, facial hair, gender and color application.
“It’s been exciting to bring out the inclusion that we live from a company perspective into what we do creatively as a design team,” says Ulta Beauty Chief Artistic Director Ammon Carver. “With this collection, we had the opportunity to celebrate not just beautiful people but beautifully brave people—people who boldly wear their differences with pride.”
