Will Clemons (@willcdoesyourhairmakeup) of Gloss Salon and Spa in Woodstock, Georgia, transformed actor Chandler Riggs' mullet into a classic, tailored style–Riggs' first real haircut in eight years!
[SPOILER ALERT] The actor, whose character on the hit AMC television show The Walking Dead, Carl Grimes, was killed off in a recent episode, was finally allowed to bid farewell to Carl's signature shaggy hairstyle, which was shaped into a mullet for a separate project. Once he wrapped two months of filming for that project, Riggs was ready to start auditioning for other roles.
"He didn't want to be typecast [when auditioning] so he can be viewed as more of an adult and get new roles," said Tim Timmons, Gloss Salon and Spa owner.
According Timmons, Riggs would come in for little trims here and there, but never a full cut. His Atlanta-area-based family members, on the other hand, are more frequent guests, coming in every four weeks.
So, after eight years of solely infrequent trims, Clemons' was enlisted to give Riggs "the cut."
Clemons used Keune Haircosmetics products for cleansing conditioning and styling, including Keune Man Hydrate Cleanser, Keune Vital Nutrition Conditioner and Keune Man Matte Effect to finish.
Opting for a classic, tailored look with more length at the top to style, Clemons and Riggs agreed that they are going to let the length at the top of the head grow out more, allowing Riggs to style and have fun with it.
And, in what is perfect timing, as Gloss Salon and Spa gets ready to launch its new men's lounge in partnership with Keune, it has enlisted Riggs to serve as a face of the brand.
