Sarah Laramie (@Sarah_laramie) says her "box color" client was looking for a more natural color design. Here Laramie shares the details for this makeover created with a shadow root and balayage.

Step 1: Create a shadow root using Redken Cover Fusion 6NA with 20 volume developer.

Step 2: To zone 2 apply Cover Fusion 7 with 30 volume and 7 with 20 volume to zone 3. 

Step 3: Lowlight select strands with Redken Shades EQ Cream 3/4 06NA & 1/2 07WN with 10 volume. Process for 20 minutes. Shampoo and rinse.

Step 4: Glaze with Shades EQ Clear and 1 drop of 01B to neutralize the yellow/orange. Process for 15 minutes.
