Marchesa’s Couture Bridal
MARCHESA COUTURE INSPIRATION:
To complement the ethereal romanticism and femininity seen in Marchesa’s Couture Bridal collection, Artistic Director, Kevin Hughes created loose waves swept back into a ribboned low pony.
GET THE LOOK: Marchesa Couture
Step 1: Prep hair by applying two pumps of Moroccanoil Treatment from mid-length to ends to set the perfect foundation for styling.
Step 2: Depending on the thickness of the hair, apply two-three pumps of Moroccanoil Thickening Lotion.
Step 3: Blow dry using the Moroccanoil Professional Series Tourmaline Ceramic Hair Dryer and a Moroccanoil Ceramic 45mm Round Brush to create volume and a soft bend to the ends.
Step 4: Create a center part and spray Moroccanoil Dry Texture Spray liberally throughout the hair from root to ends to create gritty volume and hold.
Step 5: Take 1 ¼ inch sections and twist around 1 ¼ inch curling iron in opposite directions, spraying each section withMoroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Strong.
Step 6: Pull the hair back using a clear elastic band to secure in a low pony. Pull the hair that frames the forehead gently forward to create a soft feel.
Step 7: Spray Moroccanoil Dry TextureSpray throughout the front as well as the pony and finish with a beautiful velvet bow tied around the elastic band.
MARCHESA NOTTE INSPIRATION: Moroccanoil Artistic Director, Kevin Hughes created a romantic braided style for Marchesa Notte to balance the collection’s enchanting and intricate detailing.
GET THE LOOK: Marchesa NOTTE
Step 1: To create the perfect foundation for styling, prep damp hair with a dime size amount of Moroccanoil Treatment for manageability and long-lasting shine.
Step 2: Apply Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream from mid-length to ends and blow dry the hair.
Step 3: Blow dry using the Moroccanoil Professional Series Tourmaline Ceramic Hair Dryer and a Moroccanoil Ceramic 45mm RoundBrush to create volume and a soft bend to the ends.
Step 4: Create a center part and section off from ear-to-ear radial parting and clip out of the way to braid later. Take 1 ¼ inch sections and twist around a 1 ¼ inch curling iron in opposite directions, spraying each section with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Strong.
Step 5: Unclip the front two sections and generously spray Moroccanoil Dry Texture Spray to give instant grip and grit, making the braids easier to manage and mold into a braid.
Step 6: Create two parallel Dutch braids on each side starting from the center part at a slight angle directing back. Combine all four braids into a low half pony tail using a clear elastic band.
Step 7: Spray the waves in the back with Moroccanoil Dry Texture Spray to give separation and volume.
Step 8: Finish with a light mist of Moroccanoil Luminous HairsprayStrong to set the style.
Tips & Tricks from Kevin Hughes:
To create rough texture to your braids, apply Moroccanoil Texture Clay or Moroccanoil Molding Cream and pull pieces of the braid to make it look fuller, especially on fine hair. It will make the braid look a lot more impactful.
