For two decades, I’ve had the privilege of styling brides and building a business that has grown into a thriving independent studio at Sola Salons. What began as a solo venture, has expanded into an award winning and multi-published 16-artist team. With demand for both bridal styling and custom color continuing to grow, I saw a need for education to raise the bar in the industry.
I introduced the Blush Avenue Collective in 2024 which is an online education/coaching sector on how to get independent stylists’ suites up and running, along with hands-on bridal masterclasses. With every season, I get a front-row seat to how bridal beauty evolves, and what today’s brides are asking for as they envision their perfect day. While trends may shift, the common thread is always about creating a look that feels timeless in photos yet true to each bride’s personality.
This fall and winter, I’m seeing a clear direction toward intentional, polished styles that balance elegance with modern sophistication.
This season, the overarching bridal hair trend is all about intention and polish. After several years of “undone” waves, boho braids and Hollywood curls dominating the aisle, brides are shifting toward looks that feel refined, structured, and timeless.
Polished styles photograph beautifully, hold up through hours of celebration, and elevate the overall bridal aesthetic in a way that feels sophisticated yet contemporary. Whether it’s a sleek bun, a sculpted French twist, or glossy waves, the emphasis is on precision and shine rather than effortless texture.
These styles not only complement both classic and contemporary gowns but also give brides the confidence that their look will remain flawless from the first kiss to the last dance. It’s a return to elegance, executed with a modern edge.

High and textured French Twist bun: "For me, there’s nothing more rewarding than helping a bride feel confident, radiant, and completely herself on her wedding day."

Modern French Twists: This is a personal favorite as it looks beautiful on any bride and is sleek, structured, and chic.
Sleek Buns: classic yet customizable (low, mid, or high with pearl pins or veils).
Polished Waves: smooth, glossy, red-carpet-inspired waves with a bridal twist.
Smooth Face-Framing: intentional strands or tendrils that frame the face without the messiness of past “undone” looks.
Ponytails: high-shine, high-glam ponytails as a fashion-forward alternative.
Full Volume Hairstyles: big, bold blowout energy for brides seeking glamour and presence.
Behind every flawless bridal style is a carefully chosen toolkit of products that deliver shine, hold, and all-day wear.
I rely on the Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS line for everything from volume to control, making it a go-to for creating structured styles that last. For definition without stiffness, Redken Spray Waxis perfect for sculpting sleek buns or polished waves with a soft, touchable finish. And to keep frizz at bay while adding a glass-like shine, Color Wow Dream Coatis my must-have, especially for brides who need their style to withstand long hours, photos, and even the dance floor.
These products, layered thoughtfully, create the foundation for intentional, polished looks that stand the test of a wedding day.

When it comes to forecasting bridal hair, it’s important to remember that wedding styles usually trail behind mainstream fashion and red-carpet trends. Because most brides purchase their dresses a year or more before their big day, they gravitate toward looks that feel timeless rather than overly trend-driven.
By 2026, I anticipate more hybrid styles, polished buns softened with texture or voluminous waves paired with sleek, modern details. While AI-powered tools are giving brides new ways to gather inspiration, it’s vital for hairstylists to educate brides and their bridal parties that many of these looks require extensions, extra prep, or may vary slightly from what’s pictured.
This is why thorough consultations ahead of the wedding day are so important, to align expectations, plan for the right products or enhancements, and ensure every detail is achievable. The future of bridal hair will be a balance of timeless elegance, realistic execution, and personalization enhanced by technology.
