The sun is nearly always shining in California, so it's no wonder the state is a hot spot for blonde hair color. Blonding specialist Kelly Naso is the perfect representation of cool California color. Lived-in looks are her specialty, and Naso cites color-matching extensions is her hidden beauty talent to make all her clients look as seamless as the SoCal sun. She's best known for her range of sun-kissed tresses on natural hues, and she recently took to Instagram to share her secret two-step recipe to maintaining and revitalizing blondes regardless of the weather outside.
The two-step process features products from Malibu C. The first step using the brand's Crystal Gel, a blend of antioxidant vitamin crystals that activate into a gel to naturally draw malicious mineral deposits, chlorine and other impurities from the hair and scalp that prevent it from performing at its peak. Step two is the Miracle Repair, a powerful reconstructor formulated with plant-derived proteins that seek out hair's weak spots and rebuild only where damage exists and strengthening strands from within.
Naso also says prepping the hair before a chemical service is very important.
"Water can be very harsh and mineral buildup happens," she says. "Not to mention products and more. We all have different types of buildup that cause lack of shine, dull, drabby or brassy-looking hair!"
Before her two-step recipe, Naso uses Malibu C's Un-do-goo Shampoo to remove product buildup and restore manageability.

Kelly Naso's Malibu C Makeover:
Apply Un-do-Goo shampoo to cleanse the hair.
Once rinsed, apply Crystal Gel all over the hair, add a processing cap and put your client under heat for 45 minutes.
Rinse again and wash with Un-do-Good shampoo.
Apply Miracle Repair treatment and leave on for 5 to 10 minutes before rinsing.
