Blonde specialist and Artist Connective member Kim Bruce (@themisfitblonde) owns Monroe on Mane salon in Sturbridge, Massachussetts. She knows a thing or two about building a solid blonding business that keeps her clients—and her bottom line—satisfied.
"Who else loves this money piece?," she asked her 123,000 Instagram followers, as she did a demo and explained a recent lightening service success.
Bruce used a combination of teasy lights and traditional foils for the primary ticket-building, loyalty-locking services. She accented and enhanced with more teasy lights throughout the head to create a lived-in low maintenance look.
Because her client already had pre-lightened ends, Bruce says she used Goldwell (@goldwellus) Silk Lift zero ammonia lightener with 20 volume developer to ensure gentle lift. Take a closer look at her technique in the video post here:
"I shadowed and left her raw (no toner) for a warmer look," she posted. Bruce also tapped into her Goldwell toolbox to treat, condition and finish the hair.
