Marina Sellecchia (@colorbymarina) says her client with extremely brassy solid ends was looking for a more dimensional balayage look and less red. Although it seems like an easy fix, Sellecchia knew she had to create dimension and formulate properly to make the color pop, and equally important, last.


Here the artist shares the details for the correction:

STEP 1: Apply a full head of teasylights, applying Redken Flashlift with bonder inside and 20 volume developer along the lengths to the ends.

STEP 2: Tone the hair between the foils with equal parts ShadesEQ 6NA and 5N. Process according to the manufacturer's instructions and rinse.

STEP 3: Tone at the bowl, melting using Shades EQ. Zone 1:  3N and 4NA. Zone 2: 6N and 7P. Zone 3: 8N, 8GI and 7GB.
