Color Correction: Over-Processed and Uneven to Shining Finish

Cathy Tran (@ProStylistCathyT) had a client fly in from out of state to help her correct a rough haircolor situation.
"She booked her appointment months prior, so that she can come in for a color correction transformation," Tran says. "She came in with over processed, bands and uneven brassy ombre. She had about 4 inches of virgin hair level 1, her mids were levels 3-6 and towards her ends she had sections of level 7-9. Her goal was to be lightest possible under her hair’s condition, with no brass, so to achieve her desired look."
Step 1: I used Schwarzkopf BlondMe with 20 vol adding Brazilian Bond Build3r which realigns all three bonds that make up the hair. Using Foiliage, babylights and teasing techniques. I applied an inch away from scalp to stained areas and not pulling through the ends. Then it was left to process to desire lift.
Step 2: Once it was lifted to desire lift, I then applied lightener through the ends and processed to desire lift, under hair’s health condition. Rinsing section by section with Brazilian Bond Build3r shampoo and conditioner, for some areas lift faster then others. Key is to never over process the hair. Hair was processed to pale blonde.
Step 3: Brazilian Bond Build3r was added to all colors.
Formula A: Roots -Guy Tang My Dentity dark shadow, 6dl and 6ss.
Formula B: Mid Section- Guy Tang My Dentity 8dl and 8ss
Formula C: Ends -Guy Tang My Dentity 10dl and 10ss
Step 4: Shampoo with Brazilian Bond Build3r Shampoo then towel dry, apply B3 Demi Permanent Condition3r from roots to ends, process under dryer for 20 mins, rinse and styled with all Bionic brushes and styling tools.
Products used: Brazilian Bond Builder, Schwarzkopf Blondme, Guy Tang MyDentity, Brazilian Bond Build3r B3 Demi Permanent Condition3r, and Brazilian Bond Build3r shampoo and conditioner.
