Model Barbara Palvin is known for her luscious brown color. William Beauregard explains how he would recreate the look using Alfaparf Milano color, with rich, full color and varying depths.
"When doing a color on a brunette, add varying depths and hues," Beauregard says. "This will create movement and keep her from looking dull."
To give brunette clients a cool shade for the summer, he adds try adding some lighter highlights and glossing with cool brown tones.
Here, Beauregard also gives a sneak peek at Alfaparf's new Style Stories line of stylers, available May 1.
GET THE LOOK:
STEP 1: To create Barbara Palvin's brunette shade Beauregard would use a Balayage technique. Starting in the back, create diagonal sections throughout the hair. Apply Supermeches+ & Oxid’o 20 Volume 1:2 mixed with a Bond Rebuilder to protect the hair fiber. Leave hair in between sections making sure not to give a dip dyed effect. The idea is to create a seamless blend with the lightner.
STEP 2: Gloss with Color Wear. Apply 20 grams of 8:03, 10 grams of 7.32 and 60 grams of 5 Volume Color Wear Activator for 20 minutes.
STEP 3: Finish with Scalp and Fiber Restorer for 5 minutes to restore the hair fiber while sealing the cuticle and prolonging the color.
STEP 4: Apply Style Stories Blow Dry Cream to damp hair and blow dry hair completely.
STEP 5: Apply Style Stories Thermal Protector Spray, 12 inches away throughout the hair. Taking medium sized sections, curl the hair leaving out the last 2 inches of the ends.
STEP 6: Apply Style Stories Sea Spray over curled hair to lock in style. Brush out curls with your fingers creating a lived in tousled look. (Optional: Apply Style Stories Original Hair Spray for a stronger hold.)
