The Fall 2012 Badgley Mischka Bridal Collection was inspired by sophistication and elegance of 1930s fashion icon Wallis Simpson, the Duchess of Windsor. “I wanted to create bridal hair that was fresh, cool and simple,” says Editorial Stylist and Creator, Peter Gray for Moroccanoil. “White silk flowers accent the looks but break clichés of wedding hair as multiple flowers are grouped in linear modern placement. The hair can be parted directly down the center or slightly off-center to soften the look.”

1. Place a comb diagonally in front of the ear, pointing downward to the nape, and start rolling the hair at that angle. Then continue to add a bit more hair and work down the neck area, creating a soft twist.

2. Repeat this process on the other side.

3. At the nape, overlap the two roped ponytails and use a large darning needle threaded with spooled sewing elastic and sew them together.

4. Once the two roped rolls are fastened, twist the remaining ponytails below, then overlap and cross them to the opposite sides. Knot the two twists into a chignon and pin them at the base of the neck.

5. Pull out little fine sections of hair with fingertips and spritz with hairspray to add texture.
