"This was a sad day for us," say Toni Rose Larson (@colordollzbytoni), owner of Hairitage Salon, Carlsbad, Cal. Larson was speaking not just for herself but for client Deborah, and adds "We both loved this color as did so many others!!!" Larson and client had to go from the Green/Blue Color Melt, which had been featured EVERYWHERE, including on MODERN to something more "normal" but still beautiful. "We had to change color due to a career change," says Larson. "Prior to her job offer I was going to decolorize and do a pink and purple color melt. That is one of the reasons we were so sad! I was looking forward to giving her unicorn hair again, especially because I'm a member if the 'unicorntribe'. Do you know it? It's a new movement for 2015. My unicorntribe name is Uni-baby!"
Although sad to do it, Larson DID a beautiful job making Deborah's color "normal", stating this was NOT easy. "I must say it takes a lot of time and patience in removing/ decolorizing Pravana Vivids. We are very pleased with the outcome."

Formulation and How To.....
Formula #1 (Decolorize) Equal parts Pravana Clear and 20 Volume developer.
Apply formula 1 inch away from the scalp leaving the ends free of product. Apply heat under dryer for 20 minutes. Apply to ends. Repeat this step twice. Shampoo hair with ColorProof ClearItUp Detox Shampoo. Blow dry the hair.
Formula #2 (Fill Hair) Schwarzkopf Vibrance 7-88 & 6 Vol 1:2 mixing ratio. Apply formula 1 inch away from the scalp and pull through her ends. Process for 20 minutes at room temperature. Shampoo hair with ColorProof SuperRich Moisture Shampoo. Blow dry clients hair.
Formula #3 (Re-Touch Base) Schwarzkopf Igora Royal 20 Gr. 5-68
And 20 Gr. 5-65 Equal parts 20 volume developer. Apply to re-growth only. Work around the entire head. Begin applying formula #4.
Formula #4 (Pull Color Through) Schwarzkopf Igora Vibrance 15 Gr. 6.66
And 15 Gr. 6.68 1:2 mixing ratio. Apply color slightly onto base color and pull through hair. Process at room temperature for 30 minutes. Shampoo hair with ColorProof SuperRich Moisture Shampoo, Condition with ColorProof Moisture condition. Blow Dry and Style
