Festival Season is around the corner and the people headed to these celebrations want to express themselves with stand-out style.  This means opportunity for salons and for stylists who want to go beyond the floral crown and expand their options.  Olivia Garden Artistic Director Cherry Petenbrink(@hairbycherryp) and her team designed this golden halo of waves and texture to standup to the dry of the desert or the humidity of the tents.

HOW-TO:

Step One: Detangle hair with the OG brush. Then, using the NanoThermic Square Shaper, brush and blow dry hair until smooth and shiny with the Olivia Garden Ceramic + ion Dryer. Once dry, section hair into a horseshoe from temple to temple around the crown.

Step Two: Divide small subsections at front hairline and secure with elastics. Continue across the entire section along hairline 1/4' to 1/2' apart. Continue through to crown (this can vary depending on final look).

Step Three: Curl hair with a 1/2'-1 1/2' Curling Iron, Crimper or Flat Iron (I used the Olivia Garden Ceramic + ion Flat Iron) depending on the amount of texture desired. For added fullness curl and add in clip in extension pieces. Gently lace hair to expand and create mega volume using the medium Olivia Garden Fingerbrush.

Step Four: Accessorize as desired! Choose from a variety of accessories like rhinestones barrettes, jeweled wire. jeweled hair combs, cuffs, or rings. I chose to add rhinestones to the elastics and secure with lash glue, perfect as it is water soluble.
