Inspired by the disconnection portrayed in Goldwell’s D!srupt collection, Tiffany Blair took those elements and translated them into an undercut with a surprise in the back. The background shades contrast with the light play technique using Elumen pure tones. See below for how to recreate this look at the salon using Goldwell products.
Natural level:7N
Mid-length and ends: 10N
Step 1. Apply 35ml Silk Lift 6% (20vol) lotion +1 scoop SilkLift High Performance Lightener + 3 pumps of Intensive Conditioning Serum to regrowth and lighten to a level 10.
Step 2. Shampoo, towel dry and tone with 50ml Colorance Express lotion + 25ml 10 icy for 5 minutes. Rinse well and towel dry.
Step 3. Apply 60mL Colorance Core lotion + 15ml 8CA + 10ml Clear + 5ml 10BB to the root and undercut section. Apply 60mL Colorance Core Lotion + 20ml 9MB + 5ml 10BB + 5ml P-mix to mid-shaft and ends. Process for 25 minutes, rinse well and towel dry the hair.
Step 4. Apply Elumen Prepare from root to end and dry the hair.
Step 5. Section the hair as shown.
Step 6. Apply 40mL Elumen SB@10 + 10ml GB@9 + 15ml YY@all to the sides of the undercut.
Step 7. Alternate formulas 40mL Elumen SB@10 + 10ml GB@9 + 15ml YY@all, 20mL Elumen NB@10 + 15ml Tq@all + 5ml YY@all + 2ml Bl@all and 15mL Elumen SV@10 + 30ml AB@9 + 15ml RV@all + 4ml VV@all, melting the tones together in alternating patterns throughout each section. Process for 30 minutes.
Step 8. Rinse well and shampoo twice with Elumen Wash. Towel dry well and apply Elumen lock for 5 minutes. Rinse well and condition with Elumen Treat. Blow dry hair with Goldwell StyleSign Hot Form Spray. Disrupt the texture with StyleSign’s Unlimitor.
