Orange is the New Black star Dascha Polanco has picked up two of the hottest color trends right now—metallics and pastels—for a fierce new 'do. Stylist Cynthia Alvarez of Cloutier Remix used Pravana colors to achieve the flattering peachy, rose-gold hue.
"We wanted to do something completely different from her previous hair that is also on-trend for Fashion Week," Alvarez says. "We decided that bangs, bob and rose gold were it! All three of those things are trending for fall, plus they are super complementary on Dascha."

Alvarez is also responsible for Polanco's past pink and silvery purple locks. She says she spent an hour or more trying to find the perfect mix for Polanco's latest style.
"What I love most about this color is it changes depending on the type of lighting," Alvarez says. "In natural light, it reads rose-gold. In dark spaces, it looks copper-ish. And in bright lighting, it reads peachy."
Get the color: Peachy rose-gold
STEP 1: Before adding color, use Pravana Pure Enlightenment Balayge Kit including Pure Light Balayage Lightener and Activator in High for 40 minutes. Leave about 2 inches of root untouched.
STEP 2: Apply ChromaSilk Express Tones in Copper for three minutes to get a slightly metallic finish (very on-trend for fall).
STEP 3: Combine Pravana Vivids Pastels in Too Cute Coral with a touch of Vivids Silver, then apply to entire head.
