STMNT Grooming Expands into Shave Care
STMNT Grooming Goods is expanding into the shave care category with three new additions to its lineup.
Even the most skilled stylist can fall victim to burning themselves.

How to use with a wand

If you use hot beauty tools on a regular basis, you’ve probably had your share of burns. These burns can make you scream ‘Kelly Clarkson’ and the aftermath is nothing short of unpleasant. If the burns are bad enough they can boil up, pop and make it difficult to do what you do best…style hair.
While you could always stick on a Band-Aid, they get in the way. And let’s not forget how soggy they get after you’ve washed a client’s hair. So why not prevent burns from happening in the first place? Hot beauty tools such as wands, flat irons, curling irons and even blow dryers are reaching extreme temperatures making them more dangerous than ever. Your safety is important to staying in business and keeping those precious hands in great shape.
Enter Jatai Heat Shield.
These were created to prevent burns to the fingers when using these hot tools. And it’s not hard to see why they were developed!
Heat Shields…
Are latex free
Are machine washable
Stretch
Stay snug all day
Maintain flexibility of the fingers for maximum control
Are interchangeable (can wear them on different fingers)
Can handle up to 450 degrees F
Have sewn fingertips for added protection
And one of the biggest benefits: NO MORE GLOVES!
Gloves are sometimes provided with hot beauty tools. But you must admit there wasn’t much thought put into their design. They are made of thin material so the heat easily penetrates the glove. They are a ‘one size fits all’ so often the finger fabric is much longer than your actual fingers. And they are restrictive, preventing you from using your hands the way you want to when handling hot tools.
Jatai Heat Shields come in S/M and M/L and come as a set of three finger shields. On the top of each shield is either an ‘F’ or ‘T’. ‘F’ stands for ‘finger’ and ‘T’ stands for ‘thumb’. The two finger shields are meant for the index and middle finger while the thumb shield is meant for the thumb.
To put on the shields, locate the two sides. One side of the shield is made of thick heavy material and the other side is made of thinner material. The thicker side should face the palm of the hand. This is the heat resistant side. The other side is thinner allowing for flexibility of the fingers and should be facing the backside of the hand. So make sure you put them on correctly!
Lastly, the shields should be placed on the opposite hand holding the tool, but you can wear them on any fingers based on your needs.
Watch the video above and you will see how easy they are to use. Your fingers matter so protect them the best way we know how with Jatai Heat Shields.
