Here Lumzy shares how she got from the very commercial before to the very fab midway point to the totally WOW finish. She not only dreams in color, she lives it!
The Cut:
Says Lumzy, "I chose to do a disconnected, pixie cut which incorporates some clipper work, undercuts and hard parts. My goal was to achieve a cut that looked different and unique from every angle."
Get The Color:
Formula 1: Pravana Pure Light Power Lightener with your choice of developer.
Formula 2: Pravana Pure Light Power Lightener with 25 volume developer.
Formula 3: Redken Shades EQ 09V and processing solution
Formula 4: Pravana Vivids Colors (see below)
Formula 5: Clear Demi or Cellophane
STEP 1: Prelighten the scalp area taking small sections to ensure full section saturation as to not overlap with any previously lightened hair. Process time varies based on achieving even lift with previously lightened area and or sections.
STEP 2: Prelighten with 25 volume all over beginning at mid shaft and work into the root/scalp area. Pull through to the ends until pale yellow has been achieved.
STEP 3: Shampoo and apply 09V Redken Shades EQ with processing solution all over for 45 seconds. (This removes any remaining unwanted yellow tones)
STEP 4: Section hair using various size zig zag lines and various crescent shapes throughout to ensure colors blend into each other and straight lines are eliminated.
STEP 5: Apply Pravana Vivids color starting on the shaved side of the cut working to the opposite side. Process for 30 minutes. Rinse in COLD water and towel dry.
STEP 6: Apply a Clear Demi or Cellophane to lock in color and maximum shine. Process 20 minutes.
STEP 7: Rinse, Condition, Blowout and Style.
