During times of bitter winter cold and cloudy days, we turn to bright, sunny blonding to lift our spirits and remind us that summer is around the corner. MODERN artist connective member Stephanie Shellenberger is known for her stunning platinums and pretty blonde waves so much so that she landed a spot on our 2018 Gamechangers list.
We knew the Pennsylvania colorist would be the perfect source to discuss the maintenance process for keeping blondes looking bright and shiny, even when they're not fresh off a trip to the beach. She shared her secret: proper preparation and after care!
Before a color service, Shellenberger says she reaches for Malibu C Professional's Un-doo-goo shampoo. The 100% vegan wellness shampoo blends a sulfate-free cleansing system with soothing botanicals plus moisture-boosting vitamins to remove product buildup and instantly restore manageability.
"This shampoo is a must-have," Shellenberger says. "It doesn't dry out delicate hair."
Once the color is finished, Shellenberger turns to Malibu C's Malibu Blondes collection. The maintenance system is designed to give lift to natural, bleached and highlighted tresses.
