Actress and model Lydia Hearst is a natural blonde. So when Matrix Celebrity Hairstylist George Papanikolas colors her hair, it's important to use demi color.

Papanikolas says Matrix Color Sync deposits the perfect amount of red color on Hearst's hair while reducing fading, making it easy to touch up the color and add dimension.

"While the root color is processing, I hand paint a few balayage highlights to the mid-shaft and ends before glossing with Matrix SOBOOST," Papanikolas says. "This gives a soft shimmer and movement to the color.”

For Hearst's color, Papanikolas uses the following formulas:

Base Color: Color Sync 6RC
Gloss: Color Sync 8RC with Red and Copper SOBOOST
