Curls and waves come in all shapes and sizes. In this video, Steph by Hair and Makeup by Steph (@hairandmakeupbysteph) shows you how to create a new kind of wavy look for your clients using the Hot Tools CurlBar.
“As you can see the Curlbar has a very unique shape,” says Steph. “Because of how it’s shaped it puts a lot less tension on your shoulder and your wrists so it’s really easy to use for a long period of time,” she says.
Here she shows you a simple technique that’s going to give your clients a soft, wavy, flowy finish. To achieve the look, simple set your CurlBar to the appropriate temperature (based upon your client’s hair type), take an inch of hair and then combine a flat wrap and a twist wrap together.
See how just a twist of the wrist can make such a noticeable difference in your client’s overall curly look.
Steph also mentions some other cool features about the CurlBar—its adjustable temperature dial and a timer that allows you to keep track of how long you’re curling each section of hair. She even shows how to properly stand with the CurlBar so you get the most ergonomic benefits you can out of using the tool.
What’s more? The iron heats up to 450°F, features dual voltage, a two hour auto shut off, soft touch handle that provides comfortable grip, a separate on/off button, a 9ft professional swivel cord and a 3-year limited warranty.
