Utah native Zachary Norman (@hairstorybyzach) decided to move to New York City to focus on education and not surprisingly landed at Arrojo Studio where education and inspiration is practiced on a daily basis.
At Arrojo, Norman is an educator and color/texture specialist. "Education has become the foundation of my career," he says. "I am fascinated with the art of learning and the craft of technical teachings."
MODERN found this wonderful transformation on Instagram and tracked down Norman to get the step-by-step on client Alex, a natural level 7:
STEP 1 : Lighten with Goldwell Silk Lift 20 volume.
STEP 2 : Process for 45 minutes.
STEP 3 : Pre-glaze with Goldwell Colorance 10 P 2% lotion.
STEP 4: Process for 10 minutes and then blowdry the hair.
STEP 5: Section out to off-centered pie pieces in her fringe and apply these formulas with Goldwell Elumen:
Violet:
SV@10 10 ml
AB@9 10 ml
PK@all 2ml
TQ@all 2ml
Orange:
GB@9 10ml
KB@7 5ml
KK@all 5ml
Step 6: Then apply pink using Elumen from root to ends to everything else:
Pink:
NB@10 30ml
GB@9 20ml
PK@all 4mls
STEP 7: Process for 25 minutes under heat.
