The Aimee J'Adore selfie used as inspiration!
Aimee J'Adore (@aimeejadore), hairdresser, make up artist and owner of Aimee J'Adore, Portland, Oregon, has won multiple awards ("My salon won 'Best SW Portland Salon' and I personally won "Best Hairstylist at the Portland Fashion & Style Awards"). J'Adore also works in TV, film and fashion shows, as well as at weddings, on model portfolios and commercial work. "I've been the Brides Choice Award winner for the last 5 years for my updos and makeup work and I also teach long hair dressing classes and have a 5 artist team for my weddings (we do over 150 weddings a year) called Aimee J'Adore Artists." Not surprisingly, J'Adore's clients come to her looking for award worthy finishes. "So imagine my surprise when this client arrived with an inspiration photo and it was MY selfie (see pix above)!"
The formula was obviously easy for J'Adore. She shares here:
Step 1: Using Paul Mitchell Synchrolift and Olaplex, lift client to a level 10, pure blonde.
Step 2: Use Pravana Vivids Magenta for the deep mid tone. Apply to the bottom lengths of the hair.
Step 3: Using Pravana Wild Orchid, hand paint the tips, pressing in with the brush and fingers just for extra depth.
Step 4: Apply Pravana Vivids Pink, blending that into the ombre transition from magenta to blonde up towards the crown.
Step 5: To make sure the blend was seamless, apply a white conditioner and soften any transition lines from the blonde into the pink layer.
Step 6: Process for 20 minutes, no heat. Shampoo, condition and blow dry.
