MAKEOVER: Spicing Up Best Friend Madeline

Alyssa Wiener (@lysseon), a Head Stylist and Colorist at Stylin', Norwalk, CT, says that she and best friend Madeline, decided to spice up her hair. “We always do some type of gingery blonde, but this time we decided to go all out!” 

Here she shares the formula and how-to:

FORMULAS:

-Root color: Scruples Hi Definition equal parts 8G and 6RG with 10 volume (Brazilian Bond Builder added).

-Accent color: Scruples Shadow Lights Amber 6GN + 7GR, 10vol & b3 added

Step 1: Apply root shade and then take 1 1/2" diagonal sections on the sides and top alternating the formulas to give it dimension. 

Step 2: Process for 30 minutes and then apply the b3 Demi permanent conditioner for 20 minutes to “really seal in that color and make it extra shiny.”

Step 3: Rinse and prep using preferred products and style with a 3/4" iron.
