Premiere Orlando International Beauty Event, May 31 through June 2, 2014 at the Orlando/Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

THE EVENT: Premiere Orlando International Beauty Event, May 31 through June 2, 2014 at the Orlando/Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
THE DETAILS: The bustling trade show hosted more than 420 free educational classes, 805 exhibiting companies and 55,214 attendees representing all 50 states and more than 35 countries on 7.3 acres of exhibit floor. Although the expansive show floor was impressive, perhaps more baffling still was the number of classes available to beauty professionals—both hands-on workshops and watch-and-learn.
Additionally, the Main Stage and Hair Color Stage hosted huge names such as Martin Parsons, Christopher and Sonya Dove of Wella, Ted Gibson, Ian Michael Black of Aveda and more. In addition to all the hair and nails knowledge and brands available to attendees, Premiere DAYSPA pandered to estheticians and was easily accessible on the show floor.
MODERN was also happy to host an invitation-only salon owners VIP event to cover trends and better business practices from five of the top salons from the SALON TODAY 200 from this past year and announce 2014’s top 200 salons.
TRENDING: Premiere Orlando was one more event that solidified that this is the year of men’s grooming. Brands that didn’t consider the male client before are now turning their attention that way, and stylists would be foolish not to do the same. Aside from that, there was no shortage of bright, bold hair color—on stages and among attendees as well (Matrix Colorgraphics Lacquers, Pravana Chromasilk Neons and the like).
WHAT’S NEW: CND unveiled its newest project, CNDU, an online education program for nail techs. Also, there was a significant amount of traffic around a large VERB booth—a brand relatively new to the show scene that prides itself on every product in its line being the same price, $14.
SAVE THE DATE: Premiere Orlando 2015 will be May 30-31 and June 1, 2015. For more info, visit premiereorlandoshow.biz.
