Holiday styles will be in demand the rest of the year, and a sleek ponytail is always a solid choice. Using Ashtae Products cleansing and styling products, artist Melanie Taylor@ms.uvcertified shares the steps for this classic, sophisticated look.

1. Shampoo thoroughly with Ashtae Clarifying Shampoo, an apple pectin shampoo that thoroughly cleanses the hair and prepares it for conditioners.

2. Shampoo with Ashtae Volumizing Detangling Shampoo, containing oatmeal protein to give the hair a fuller feel.

3. Condition with Ashtae Silk Protein Conditioner or Heavenly Silk and Shine Conditioner.

4. Apply Ashtae Moisture Plus Leave-in Conditioner.

5. Detangle, trim, and section.

6. Apply Ashtae Curl Wax to mold the ponytail into shape. Tie off this section with a rubber band before lightly diffusing with a blowdryer or diffuser.

7. Repeat on the left and right sides, and join those two sections with the back section.

8. Apply Ashtae Heavenly Foam Lotion, and roller-set the top.

9. Create volume using your preferred holding spray, and use bobby pins to pin the hair where you choose.
