Grab your bobby pins, rods and styling skills for this braided, twisted and hawked how-to by Mizani Artist Daryce Brown-Willis from Styles New York Salon.

To achieve this look, Brown-Willis first sectioned out the client's hair, created a series of tight twists all over the client's head and then finished off the look by styling the hair into a sassy Pompadour and Mohawk. Get the detailed steps below:

Step 1: Cleanse and treat hair using Mizani True Textures Moisture Replenish Shampoo and Intense Moisture Replenish Treatment.

Step 2: Detangle hair using Mizani 25 Miracle Milk and part into 4 sections, keeping in mind that the sections above both ears will remain twisted for your completed style.

Step 3: Layer Mizani True Textures Curl Enhancing Lotion and Mizani True Textures Twist and Coil Jelly on to each section. Flat twist two levels of hair in both the front and back sections, and secure with perm rods. Tip: make jagged parts to make styling and hiding parts easier later on.

Step 4: Sit under a hooded dryer for 60 minutes or let hair fully air dry.

Step 5: With a liberal amount of Mizani Supreme Oil, unravel twists in the front and back panels.

Step 6: (Pompadour) Gather ends and loosely pin hair back using large hair pins to create a pompadour shape. Criss Cross the ends of the side panel and twist to secure style. Fluff to desired volume.

Step 7: (Mohawk) using two bobby pins, secure twists on either side of the head and unravel ends. Fluff to desired volume and use additional bobby pins where necessary to secure style.
