Bill Repealing Cosmetology Licensing in New Hampshire

The proposed New Hampshire House Bill 446-FN seeks to repeal the regulatory boards and authority for licensure or certification for the cosmetology, esthetics, and barbering fields. According to The Professional Beauty Association/National Cosmetology Association (PBA/NCA), passage of the Bill would have a severely detrimental impact on thousands of employed licensed professionals and more than 3,016 salon/spa establishments, as well as potentially putting consumers at risk.

Repêchage Hosts Congress

Lydia and David Sarfati, founders of Repêchage, hosted the company’s 11th Annual International Congress for salon and spa professionals at New York’s Park Central Hotel. The conference featured sessions on treatments, business and marketing. Lydia Sarfati and Susan Piso, director of research and development, presented Repêchage’s newest technology, the Hydra Dew Express Lift Moisture Mask, which offers botox-like results. The awards gala was held at the Tavern on the Green where the Spa de Beaute Awards of Excellence were presented. The Repêchage President’s Awards of Excellence were presented to Three-13 Salon, Spa and Boutique in Atlanta and Oasis Day Spa in South Weymouth, Massachusetts.
