In April, Ellen DeGeneres @theellenshow "comedian, talk show host and ice road trucker" shared on her show how her hair was damaged after back-to-back lightening services. At the time, our community's sympathy was definitely with the colorist who performed the initial process: "Oh nooo :maybe the hairdresser was nervous,” said Toni Danielle Elizondo on MODERN SALON's Facebook post about the Ellen ordeal.
Ellen, who said she lost some hair (“I literally would touch my hair and it would fall out. I think my hair was so embarrassed it didn’t want anything to do with my head and said, I’m getting out of here.”) and hasn't grown much since, decided to take her head on a field trip to Wilshire Wigs in North Hollywood, CA.
