The brainchild of 4Beauty International, fobi is a new haircare and fast service smoothing treatment (no flat irons needed) that launched November 1, 2014 in the U.S. According to 4Beauty International's press release, "fobi is the result of six years of market research, technical R&D and testing. We are introducing to the hair industry what the client with 'humidity reactive, unruly hair' truly desires---to have curly/wavy/coily hair without the nuisance of frizz."
