Wedding Hair

Did you know a bride spends more time on her hair than the actual wedding ceremony?

I was in a wedding last weekend and spent hours in the salon pre-ceremony with the other bridesmaids doing hair, make-up and nails. The wedding was in St. Joseph, Michigan, and we spent the morning and early afternoon at St. Joseph's Mane Street Salon. We brought in sandwiches, fruit and mimosas and basically took over the place. Fortunately, the wedding was on a Friday, so we weren't interfering with a busy Saturday morning at the salon. This Friday wedding trend is one I'm sure stylists and owners love! There were five bridesmaids, a flower girl and a bride. Everyone did something different with their hair. I brought in a photo I found online for my stylist to recreate. I gave her full reign to make my hair as big as possible and she took me up on it. I loved this dramatic finished look. Here are a few views of it!

Here are some shots of the other bridesmaids' styles!

As you can see, we had quite a variety. A low, messy bun, a side ponytail and a more traditional design. Here is a shot of our final looks and one with the bride!
