Detroit-based Rodrick Samuels, a barber, educator and part of a dynamic artistic duo with wife, Lauren Moser, welcomes clients and beauty professionals to their Hair Lab, both a salon space and an academy for advanced education. Samuels is known for inspiring excellence and in this collection, he celebrates the diversity of his models.
“Blue is my favorite color and using this filter cast amazing shadows and really brought out the detail in the men’s faces,” Samuels says. “Giving it a pop of color to tell the story was really important to set it apart and give it a futuristic spin. The variety of textures shows the range I have as a barber. The possibilities in men’s grooming with the right kind of education will allow you to offer services to any client that walks through your door.”
Samuels and Moser teach all over the world and they pride themselves on making their designs both artistically satisfying and salon-friendly.
