Mark Holloway, Goldwell North America Artistic Team Member and Miami-based stylist says, "there is power if you feel like you look good, you feel good."

Of course, just like most stylists these days, Holloway has experienced his fair share of guests begging for his help to cover up their regrowth or in need of a touch-up: calls from guests in the aisles of CVS asking him to help pick out their box color, texts asking him to "break in" to the salon to "steal" color, and yes, offers of great sums of money for him to make an (illegal) house call.

Holloway is making sure they stay patient via lots of communication and with an arsenal of temporary solutions to hold them over until they can sit in his chair again, whenever that may be.

"At the beginning of quarantine, I told clients to create a zigzag part in order to cover some of the regrowth," he says. "Now that we're in week seven of quarantine, that probably won't to the trick anymore."

When asked how he is making sure his clients are feeling confident about their color at home, Holloway has some tricks up his sleeve.

COLOR POWDERS: “Goldwell Dualsenses Color Revive Powders are great for blurring and blending regrowth, but you can also get creative with them," Holloway says. "Utilize a new tool with them like a stiff makeup brush. If your client is a highlighted blonde, she can paint her highlights in." Another tip? Wetting the applicator will make the color of the powder more intense, resulting in more coverage.

COLOR SPRAYS: Sprays are another great option to keeping color looking fresh on Zoom meetings and beyond. KMS StyleColor is a collection of temporary color sprays,  and easy to apply with even results on both darker and lighter hair. Designed to stay put on the hair--and don't be afraid to bust out the silk pillowcases, this is designed to not transfer! "They have a metallic finish to them so it looks more natural and multi-dimensional," Holloway says.

COLOR-DEPOSITING CONDITIONERS: “Color depositing conditioners to give a little more life to color,” Holloway says. Goldwell Color Revive Color Giving Conditioners come in eight shades, and present a great retail opportunity during quarantine.
