In their first photoshoot collaboration, Mustafa Avci and Linh Phan show us their take on pairing interesting colors and bold silhouettes for the coming season—proving mixing warm with cool shades, and severe with soft shapes, are changing the game.

After looking at Phan's Instagram page during their consultation, model Shannon said "Do whatever you want!" Given that freedom, Phan managed to exercise control, melting from a medium gray at the base through to a pale peach at the ends. The artist used three different shades to accomplish this gentle blend. Avci created his signature waves, making sure to shape the wave sensitively to complement the new color.

From Foiled and Damaged To Luscious Red

Maggie Mulhern | October 1, 2017

"This client had been doing full foils for years, and her hair showed it," says Tiffinie Morton (@hairbytiffinie). "We had been working on getting her hair healthier and decided to try something new. She initially wanted to go to a warm level 5 but I talked her into trying this to ease her into being darker since she had been blonde for so long." Details here.
