In the culmination of 2019's award season, Hollywood's elite exuded glamour as they took the red carpet. As award's season ends, special-occasion season beings. Here are some of our favorite hair looks to inspire your own creations.

Charlize Theron by Adir Abergel for Virtue and Ghd

Abergel began prepping Theron’s strands using Virtue Restorative Treatment Mask to infuse hair with hydration and shine. Virtue’s new ColorKick was added to the mask to boost Theron’s new color while maintaining the health of her hair. Once the hair was towel dried, Abergel used Virtue Volumizing Primer (launching Spring 2019) at the roots to create memory and volume that would prime her hair for the perfect blow out. Abergel created a deep side part and followed with Virtue Polish Un-Frizz Cream, smoothing throughout from roots to ends. Then, he blow dried the hair with the ghd Air Hairdryer and a round brush to create bounce and movement. To finish the look, Abergel used the ghd Platinum+ Styler to create a beautiful, shiny finish. The hair was carefully straightened to accentuate the cut.

Emilia Clarke by Nicola Clarke for Virtue

“Emilia returned to a rich brunette for the Oscars: a really rich, healthy glossy shade that is just a touch darker than her natural color," Nicola Clarke says. "I used Virtue ColorKick to amp the gloss and shine and maintain the health of the hair during the color process."

To recreate this look: On damp hair, use a dime size amount of Moroccanoil Treatment Light to provide the perfect foundation for styling. Next, apply Moroccanoil Volumizing Mousse at the roots of the hair and Moroccoanoil Blow Dry Concentrate at the ends. Blow dry the hair using the Moroccanoil Professional Series Tourmaline Ceramic Hair Dryer with the 45 MM Moroccanoil Boar Bristle Round Brush for a smooth and full bodied blow out. Then, bend hair with the Moroccanoil Professional Series Titanium Ceramic Hairstyling Iron to create different sized S waves throughout the hair for a textured, voluminous style. Break up the waves with your fingers and spray Moroccanoil Dry Texture Dry generously throughout the hair while keeping the arch around the frame of the face  Lastly, spray Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Medium throughout sections of the hair to create a tousled finish look.

Kacey Musgraves by Giovanni Delgado and Oribe

Giovanni chose a simple, sleek look to perfectly balance her pink ruffled statement dress. To recreate the look: Prep hair with Foundation Mist all over. Apply Volumista Mist for Volume at the roots for lift. Apply a dime-sized amount of Supershine Moisturizing Cream on the ends for gloss and hydration. Blow dry hair to create a straight, sleek look. Once hair is dry, create a center part and brush sides into a low ponytail using a flat boar-bristle brush. Use a flat iron to touch up the ends. Finish with Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil and a mist of Superfine Strong Hair Spray for hold.

Delacourt created a simple and sleek blowout using Oribe Hair Care products. To recreate the look: Mix Imperial Blowout Transformative Styling Creme with 3 drops of Power Drops Damage Repair Booster. Apply the mixture to the ends of damp hair. To give volume and body at the roots, apply Maximista Thickening Spray. Blow dry the hair straight and smooth with a round brush. Once hair is fully dry, tease the roots tightly all over. Add Swept Up Volume Powder Spray at the roots to create a natural-looking thickness. Using a Mason Pearson brush, create a soft part on the right side. Tuck hair behind the left ear. Add Flash Form Finishing Spray Wax for a shiny look. Finish with a light spritz of Superfine Hair Spray to hold hair lightly in place.

Kate Beckinsale by Aaron Light and Oribe for the Vanity Fair Oscars Party

Light created a bouncy blowout for Beckinsale’s look at last night’s Vanity Fair Oscars party. Light was inspired by old Hollywood glam, but used Oribe Hair Care products to add an updated feel with piecey texture. To recreate this look: Use Royal Blowout Heat Styling Spray to prep damp hair. Part hair to one side, then blow out section by section with a flat brush. Once hair is dry and smooth, curl using a 1- or 1.5-iron to create varied waves. Let curls cool for 5-10 minutes. Beginning at the nape of the neck, brush from ends to roots, working up toward the crown of the head. Smooth out medium-sized sections. Spray Dry Texturizing Spray and Apres Beach Wave and Shine Spray to add volume and texture. Finish with Superfine Hair Spray and Shine Light Reflecting Spray.

Bradley Cooper by Natalia Bruschi and Redken

To recreate this look: Prep hair by washing with Redken Brews 3-in-1.  Lightly blow-dry hair with your fingers until fully dry. Scoop out a small amount of the Redken Brew Cream Pomade and rub it between your hands before raking them through your hair in a backwards direction to softly hold the style and add texture. Once you’ve obtained your desired effect, lock the style in place with a few spritzes of the Redken Brews Hairspray.

Constance Wu by Christina Aviles Aude for Essie and Derek Yuen for Goldwell and VARIS

“Constance is stunning in her yellow Versace dress!" says Aviles Aude. "We went with essie’s spiked with style to add an element of coolness to her princess-like dress. The result is belle of the ball with some edge."

For her hair, stylist Yuen created a smooth, effortless ponytail with the help of hair essentials from Goldwell and VARIS. Yuen started by applying the Goldwell Kerasilk Control Smoothing Fluid very carefully to the roots of Wu's damp hair, section by section before combing through. Using his hands, he then applied the Goldwell Elixir from the mids to the ends of her hair. He then used the VARIS Blow Dryer on  medium heat, making sure to over direct and comb all of the hair backwards to get rid of any part in the hair. After the hair was dried, he loosely secured a ponytail to allow room to smooth out any bumps. With his hands, he then applied the Goldwell StyleSign Creative Texture Roughman Matte over the top and sides of the head to secure any flyaways and give the hair a medium hold that he could still comb through. Yuen then secured the ponytail with a second elastic and used the VARIS Blow Dryer on low heat to give the security of extra hold. For the ends of the ponytail, he misted the Goldwell Kerasilk Smoothing Sleek Spray and brushed it through. This gave her hair a super shiny, healthy finish while providing heat protection. Using the VARIS 1 in Marcel Curling Iron, he curled the ends in five to six big sections. He then applied more Goldwell Kerasilk Smoothing Sleek Spray before brushing the curls out to create big shiny waves.  For extra fluffiness, he sectioned the hair in half and back combed the underneath. To finish the style off, he applied the Goldwell Kerasilk Style Fixing Effect Hairspray on his fingers to lay down any frizz or flyaways.

Kristin Cavallari by Merrick Fisher for Essie

“Kristin still has a beautiful post-vacation glow; we decided a nude nail was the perfect complement to her tan skin," Fisher says. "To create the look, I used one coat of Essie’s at the barre, followed by one coat of Essie’s sheer silhouette. The combination created a classic shade that elevated her embellished black dress rather than distract from it."

Lady Gaga by for Frederic Aspiras for Joico + Ghd and Miho Okawara for Essie

For Lady Gaga's hair, stylist Aspiras prepped her hair with Joico Defy Damage Protective Shampoo followed by Joico Defy Damage Protective Masque for 5 minutes then towel dried. He applied 2-3 pumps of Joico Defy Damage Protective Shield and combed through using Ghd wide tooth comb. He then applied 1-2 pumps of Joico Blonde LIFE Brilliant Glow Brightening Oil to damp hair create super shine and softness. He combed it through using a Ghd paddle brush. He next sectioned the hair into small sections and used  the Ghd Air Blow Dryer and Ghd Natural Bristle Brush Size 2 to dry hair away from face. He used the Ghd Soft Curl Iron to curl the hair from mid-shaft to ends creating a loose soft curl. He then allowed the curls to cool loose. He sprayed the hair at the crown and throughout curls with Joico Hair Shake while loosening up curls with Ghd Large Paddle brush. He gathered the hair up into two ponytails (one large and one small): the larger ponytail at the crown and the small one in the back of head. He then back combed and shaped the hair into a wavy bun. The curls were defined with Ghd Curve Classic Wave Wand. Volume was created at top of head. He finished the look by spraying Joico JoiShape Shaping Spray and Joico Power Spray Finishing Spray for extra hold.

For Gaga's nails, Okawara used one coat of Essie’s new spring 2019 Stirring Secrets shade, which worked perfectly with her hair and makeup.

Danai Gurira by Larry Sims and Biolage

“Danai’s hairstyle was inspired by African Princess Royalty." says Sims. "I wanted to create something strong, regal, and elegant that complimented her dress along with her 1920’s Fred Leighton Headband so we went with gorgeous regal braids” To recreate the look: Start by applying Biolage BlowDry Glotion to damp hair. Part hair into small sections, apply Biolage Texture Sap to the roots of the hair, and cornrow away from the face. Finish with Biolage Freeze Fix Hairspray once all over hair to make sure there are no flyaways on the red carpet.

“The inspiration was guided by Priyanka's stylists' vision for the look," Campora says. "We wanted her hair to have a 60s vibe to it with a modern take on a classic look full of texture.” To recreate the look: Apply Matrix Smooth Setter Smoothing Cream to hair while it is damp to create a strong foundation for the look. Then apply Matrix Volume Builder Mousse to damp hair to allow the hair to maintain a great texture once it is dry. Separated the hair section by section and blow dried using the Dyson Supersonic dryer. Once the hair is dried, divided the hair into two sections, leaving small pieces at the front of the head to frame the face. Added Matrix Texture Builder Messy Finishing Spray to give the hair added texture. Then take the two sections of hair and create a more modern take on a classic French twist by accentuating the texture of the hair. To finish, spray with Matrix Volume Fixer Hairspray to keep the entire look stable and perfect.
