Julianna Margulies asked Chris McMillan to prep her hair for the Golden Globes yesterday. McMillan, a Living Proof artist and stylist to some of Hollywood's top celebrities, obliged. "The look we decided on was a modern take on a classic updo," says McMillan. "After seeing the dress [by Andrew GN], we wanted to make sure the hair completed the elegance of the whole look. We created an architectural style that was clean around the face and a little messy in the back."

McMillan offers the HOW TO:

STEP 1: Apply Living Proof Prime Style Extender to wet hair.

STEP 2: Create a deep side bang. Using a large round brush, blow the hair straight.

STEP 3: Apply a small amount of Living Proof Amp throughout the hair (to add texture).

STEP 4: Pull the hair back in to a low ponytail and lift straight up. Pin to the back of the head.

STEP 5: Fold the hair down and pin underneath the ponytail holder, creating the bun.

STEP 6: Leave the ends of the hair resting at the nape of the neck. Apply Living Proof Flex Shaping Hairspray over the silhouette.
