On last night's 2016 American Music Awards' red carpet, we saw high-glam, on-trend styles that, most importantly, are completely wearable—great news for clients that tuned in for holiday styling inspiration. High ponytails, long length and berry lips were some of the trends that dominated. The '70s are having a bit of a moment with long, loose waves, face-framing fringe and center parts being seen time and time again.

Sharing these hair and beauty trends with clients makes for great conversation that will pass the time while they process and will align you as their trend expert. Ask clients if they're attending holiday parties and let them know that they can schedule an appointment with you to get brushed back waves like Gigi Hadid's or a high pony like Ciara's. Reccomend retail items like berry lipsticks for an on-trend winter makeup look or strengthening hair products that will help them achieve greater lengths as the weather turns colder.
