Paul Vega, creative director for Wella's Color Charm always has his head in the color game. Here are a few of his top tips for keeping color clients on your books on a regular basis.

Tip #1: "With the economy the way it is, a lot of clients are going for natural color so it lasts longer.  Edgy shades are fun, but to be more practical and economical to your client, try warm tones like gold and honey from the new Cashmere Collection's NW shades to maintain richness and long-lasting color."

Tip #2: "I add golds, reds and violets to my formulas to produce signature, vibrant colors that my clients and I both love because it creates a signature look clients cannot achieve at home."

Tip #3: Most people are more than one color, which is impossible to get with at-home kits. After a consultation, I come up with a different formula for each client. It is like a recipe, but if you don't follow it exactly, it won't come out. It's really important to cater to your clients' needs, customize color for the individual's lifestyle.
