From the front, Amanda’s updo clearly has height and some intrigue happening. When you catch a glimpse at the back, it’s clear she has some vintage influence working her inspiration for her overall look. Stylist Jenny Cho says, “My inspiration for Amanda’s hairstyle was her beaded, high-neck gown. I felt it called for a beautiful, soft updo to complete the timeless red carpet look.” Amanda later opted for a long, braided look for after-parties.

Both Jennifer’s fashion and her beauty choices made nearly every “best” list you could track down from the 2013 Oscars. Her mane man Mark Townsend styled the ultra-chic and polished look. And here’s a fun fact: Just one day after her big Oscars win, Jennifer headed to the salon to color her locks--near-black! Jennifer’s preparing to film reshoot scenes as the raven-haired Katniss Everdeen for the next installment of The Hunger Games series.

Laini Reeves for Moroccanoil styled this classic, 1950s chignon for Amy and says she was inspired by the detailing in her gown. “The hair shape is classic. However, I made the texture a little more tousled, created a crown with a little bit of a backcomb that didn’t look too stiff or perfect, and swept her hair back into a messy modern chignon.” Amy later traded the chignon for a sleek, low bun for Oscars after-parties.
Kelly Rowland
Check out the topknot on Kelly! The Destiny’s Child singer was one of few rocking a full fringe on the red carpet, but she topped it off with an interesting, layered bun pulled tight and worn high to complement her black and white gown.
