“While studying trends, we noticed that graphic liners were on the rise, not to mention the pastel pops in hair were turning slightly more primary,” says Nicoletta Gauci, Editorial Director at The Mastery. “Lines in clothing from Spring 2013 Fashion Week were graphic as well with lots of plays on black and white lines, while maintaining a silhouette that was late 50's-early 60's. We combined this with the feeling of the original Sin City advertisements from that time period (the de-saturated skin and dramatic posing) to create life like drawings with the fantastic models we had.”
During their 14 weeks at The Mastery, Designers receive a balanced education in color, cut, texture, style, make-up and business. “We have an in-house education staff as well as a plethora of special guest artists who come in for each topic. We bring the hair show to our Designers in a personalized setting with our classes. At the culmination of their training, they create a collection and are able to show what they have learned in a wide array of topics.” Here is The Mastery’s most recently collection:
